Q. Are Flights Included in the Price?

Most tour and cruise packages are sold as “Land Only”. This allows you the freedom to purchase tickets on your preferred airline and from your home city. We may offer group flights depending on the tour.

Q. Can Frequent Flyer Miles be Used to Join a Tour?

Yes! Once the frequent flyer reservations have been confirmed and ticketed by the airline, please provide a copy of the itinerary to us to ensure that proper transfer arrangements are made. We regret that we cannot assist with making frequent flyer reservations.

Q. Is a Cash Discount Available?

Yes! If you want to save some money, this is the ideal option. All reservations paid for by check or cash will receive a discount. The amount varies by tour and will be listed on the web-site.

Q. Are Other Discounts Available?

Yes! If you are a Deseret Book Platinum Club member an additional discount may be available. There may be Expo discounts or other promotional discounts offered from time to time. However, only one discount per person will apply with the exception of the cash discount. Please call for details.

Q. Should I Purchase Travel Insurance?

Because unforeseen circumstances may arise, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. This insurance will cover you in case you need to cancel a tour after final payment has been made. Certain restrictions apply.

Q. Is Tipping Included in the Price?

Some tours do include gratuities for the local guides and bus drivers and others do not. Please refer to the “What is Included” section for your specific trip to find out.

Q. What if I Have a Medical Condition or Physical Disability?

Please note that many of these tours require that participants be in good physical and mental health. You must be capable, without assistance, of walking a minimum of one mile over uneven terrain and of climbing stairs that may not have handrails. Participants should have sufficient stamina to keep pace with an active group of travelers on long days of touring. Q. Can I Bring My Children on the Tour?

In order for the enjoyment of all tour participants, we generally request that children be a minimum of 8 years old to participate on the tour. Parents should be advised that they may be the only youth on the tour. Some tours may be designed with family travel in mind and will be advertised as such. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Q. What Documentation Will be Needed?

All U.S. citizens are required to have a current passport valid for six months beyond the return date if the trip is international. In some cases a visa may also be required. For tours wholly within the United States a valid Drivers License is acceptable documentation. Please remember that your first and last name on your ticket must match your passport or drivers license. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please call our office for assistance.

Q. When is Final Payment Due?

The final payment for an international tour is due 90 days prior to departure and for domestic tours it is due 60 days prior to departure. Full payment is required for new reservations received within the final payment period.

Q. What Happens if I Need to Cancel My Tour?

Per person cancellation fees are based on the date we receive notice from you. For tours in the United States: Cancellations within 7 days of booking (if not within final payment date): full deposit refunded. Cancellations after the grace period ends to 91 days prior to departure: $125 will be refunded (50% of tour deposit) Cancellations from 90 to 61 days prior to departure: no refund of deposit Full payment due: 60 days prior to departure. Cancellations made 59 days or less prior to departure: no refund. Cancellations made on the day of departure: no refund Cancellation by Morris Murdock Escorted Tours: full refund. No refund for unused portions of the tour, including but not limited to, missed meals, hotel nights, and sightseeing. For all other tours including international tours and cruises: Cancellations within 7 days of booking (if not within final payment date): full deposit refunded. Cancellations after the grace period ends to 91 days prior to departure: $250 refund (50% of tour deposit) Full payment due: 90 days prior to departure. Q. What Should I Pack?

Since each tour is different, please refer to the individual tour recommendations on the web-site. Generally speaking, you will want to pack comfortable walking shoes, slacks and shirts that can be easily layered should there be a change in temperature. Be sure pack an extra change of clothing, camera and prescription medicines in your carry on bag.

Q. How Much Luggage Can I Take?

Carry-on: Most airlines permit each passenger to take one carry-on bag, total dimensions (22"+ 14"+ 9") of which must not exceed 45 inches and which cannot weigh more than 22 lbs., and one additional personal carry-on item, such as a purse or briefcase/laptop case; all carry-on items must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartment. Checked: Please check with your airline to confirm the current luggage limitations and any applicable fees. Most carriers charge a fee for any checked bags, with a discount if this is done ahead of time online. Overweight: Please note that many airlines charge significant fees for overweight or oversized luggage. Be sure that all baggage and personal belongings are properly insured. Items such as medications, jewelry, or other valuables, breakable or perishable items, and important documents should be hand-carried. Responsibility will not be assumed by the airline for loss of or damage to these items.

If a participant needs to cancel their reservation, written notice must be provided. Cancellations within seven calendar days of booking (if not past the final payment date) will receive a full refund, excluding airfares, which follow the airline’s policy. Cancellations after the seven-day grace period incur a 50% penalty on the deposit until the final payment date, and cancellations after the final payment date are non-refundable, including for unused portions of the tour.

*Please note that while the physical activity on this tour (walking distances) is not significant every day, the days are full of touring from breakfast to dinner time with “down-time” only in the evening.

OPTIONAL PRE-TOUR OF CAPPADOCIA - February 26-March 2, 2027

February 26-27, 2027: Depart flights from your home cities to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul. Meeting at the airport and on a short flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival in Cappadocia, transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

February 28, 2027: We will start exploring Cappadocia valley. We will first visit the Kaymakli Underground city. It is a self-sufficient underground city with its own ventilation system, store areas, living areas. Later, we will continue to Goreme Open Air Museum where we will see churches and monasteries carved in rocks. We will see, Pasabag, Valley of Imagination and three beauties in Cappadocia. We will have our dinner and overnight at our hotel in Cappadocia.

March 1, 2027: Early morning, we will have an optional balloon ride in the valley. We will return to our hotel for breakfast and after some rest, we will continue exploring more in Cappadocia. We will see Uchisa, Pıgeon Valley and Love Valley. We will end our day in Kizilcukur to have the best sunset photos in the region. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

March 2, 2027: Transfer to the airport for flying to Istanbul and starting the Journey of Apostles Tour!

Saturday, February 27, 2027 - Arrive in Istanbul, Turkey

Welcome to Turkey! Like Rome, Istanbul is built on seven hills. Settled by the Greeks in the eighth century BC, the city was known as Byzantium. In AD 330 the Roman emperor Constantine made it his capital and called it Constantinople. After the western part of the Roman Empire fell, Constantinople was the capital of the Byzantine Empire for a thousand years until 1453, when it was taken by the Ottoman Turks.

If time permits and for those that want to we will have an optional boat ride on the Bosphorous.

Day 3 :

Sunday, February 28, 2027 - Istanbul

We will enjoy a city tour of Istanbul. The Hagia Sophia was an architectural marvel built by Emperor Justinian in AD 527. The Blue Mosque is an exquisite example of Islamic architecture built by Ahmet I, we will also see the Hippodrome, containing an Egyptian obelisk brought to Constantinople in AD 390 from Egypt. Next, we will also visit the Topkapi Palace and finally the unique Basilican Cistern. If time allows, you may enjoy a fun stop at the world-famous Spice Market. Here you can browse and shop at the hundreds of stalls for souvenirs, spices and Turkish delights. We will visit spice market and will be transferred to Istanbul airport for our flight to Izmir. Upon Arrival in Izmir, we will be transferred to our hotel in Izmir for our dinner and overnight.

Day 4 :

Monday, March 1, 2027 - Izmir

This morning, we will visit Smyrna. Founded in the 11 century B.C it was once a Greek City on the Aegean coastline. We will see the ruins of the ancient Angora (public meeting place). We will next travel to Kusadasi (near Ephesus), on our way, we will see the Basilica of John and continue to Kusadasi where we will spend the evening.

Tuesday, March 2, 2027 - Ephesus, Turkey

This morning, we will visit Ephesus – once a Greek city on the Ionian Sea coast. The impressive ruins date back to the 10th century B.C. The Apostle Paul spent much time in the area teaching the Ephesians. We will visit the house of the Virgin Mary. Many have thought that this was where she had lived and died. We will have an optional lunch at rug weaving school with shopping opportunities. Following our free time, we will make our way to Izmir airport for our flight to Athens this evening. Upon arrival in Athens, we will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight in Athens.

Day 6 :

Wednesday, March 3, 2027 - Athens, Greece

Today we will visit the famous Acropolis and the Parthenon. We will also stroll through the ancient Agora – said to be one of the world’s largest and best-preserved ancient meeting place. It was here that such men as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle taught. The Apostle Paul taught the Athenians while staying in Athens on Mars Hill. Our lives still bare the deep imprint of Greece. After time for shopping and if time permits, we will visit the New Acropolis Museum.

Day 7 :

Thursday, March 4, 2027 - Corinth, Greece

This morning, we will travel west by bus around the Saronic Gulf, which separates Attica from the Peloponnese (the southern peninsula of Greece), crossing the famous Corinth Canal (a 4.2-mile-long channel cut between the Gulf of Corinth and the Saronic Gulf). Our first stop will be Eleusis. After visiting here, we will go on to Corinth to discuss the work of Paul, who lived here for one and a half years, and his two epistles directed to the Corinthian Saints.

Friday, March 5, 2027 - Athens to Rome – Colosseum and Roman Forum

Early in the morning we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Rome. Upon arrival in Rome, we will be transferred to our hotel in the city. After some free time for lunch, we will start our guided tour of ancient Rome including Colosseum and Roman Forum in the afternoon. After our tour, we will drive to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Saturday, March 6, 2027 - LDS Rome Temple Visit - Vatican - Sistine Chapel

Today we travel outside the “old city” of Rome to see the Rome Temple Visitor’s Center and Temple. For those who wish to do proxy work in the temple, time will be allotted to do so. (Temple attendance pending individual appointment availability.)

This afternoon, we will tour the Vatican, the world’s smallest, yet wealthiest independent state, starting with an overview of the history of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. See the Hall of Tapestries and the Maps Gallery. The highlight will be the Sistine Chapel, where the ceiling is covered with Michelangelo’s famous paintings of the ‘Creation’ and ‘Last Judgment.’ Then we explore St. Peter’s Square, with Bernini’s 284 columns, before entering St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in Christendom. See the many treasures including the golden mosaics of the apse, Bernini’s bronze baldachin and the famed ‘Pieta’ by Michelangelo.

Day 10 :

Sunday, March 7, 2027 - Tivoli - Pantheon - Trevi Fountain - Navona

This morning, we will visit Tivoli and the Villa d’Este, a 16th-century villa, famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance Garden and especially for its profusion of fountains. It is now an Italian state museum and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. We will then travel back to Rome to visit some of the most famous sites in Rome, The Pantheon a former Roman temple, now a church, on the site of an earlier temple dedicated about 126 A.D! We will also visit the Trevi fountain (“three coins in the…”) and the famous Piazza Navona. We will also visit the Roman Coliseum (one the 7 Wonders on the World) that was once the site of the Roman Gladiators and where the early Christians were executed.

Monday, March 8, 2027 - Rome to USA
