MMET has been taking guests to Israel for more than 30 years and have developed strong relationships with trusted local partners, guides, and suppliers who share our commitment to safety, service, and meaningful travel experiences.
MMET recognizes that travel to Israel requires thoughtful planning and careful attention to world events. The Middle East can experience periods of uncertainty, and conditions may change quickly. News coverage often focuses on conflict and political tension, but it does not always reflect the day-to-day experience in the areas where organized tour groups travel. MMET itineraries are carefully designed, and the places we visit are selected with guest safety as the highest priority.
Throughout every tour, our local operators, guides, and transportation providers remain in close communication with security officials, tourism authorities, and local contacts. We also monitor U.S. government travel advisories, airline operations, and conditions that may affect religious-related travel in the region. If circumstances require adjustments, itineraries may be modified, sites may be replaced, or portions of the program may be altered in order to maintain the safety and comfort of MMET guests. Please be assured that tour guest safety is the priority for MMET, and decisions about program experiences will be made with extreme caution.

The safety and well-being of MMET travelers will always take precedence over operating a tour
There are two primary circumstances under which MMET may cancel a tour to Israel:
1. Safety Concerns
If conditions arise, in our judgment, that make travel unsafe for MMET guests or prevent MMET from operating the tour responsibly, MMET will cancel the tour.
2. BYU Jerusalem Center Closure
If the BYU Jerusalem Center suspends operations and sends students home due to safety concerns, MMET will reevaluate all scheduled departures and may cancel tours accordingly. We believe this is an important indicator in assessing whether conditions are appropriate for MMET guests.
We will refund of your tour land package cost less any non-refundable supplier costs and fees, if applicable. We will not require you to transfer funds to another tour.
We understand that some travelers may feel uncertain about traveling to Israel depending on current events, even if MMET determines that conditions remain appropriate for the tour to operate
If a guest chooses to cancel their tour prior to MMET making the decision to cancel the departure, standard tour cancellation policies will apply according to the terms and timelines outlined in the tour’s booking conditions.
MMET’s greatest responsibility is protecting our guests and ensuring a safe, meaningful, and enjoyable travel experience. While no destination can ever come with guarantees, you can be confident that MMET will always make decisions based on the safety and best interests of our travelers. In addition, MMET strongly encourages every guest to purchase travel insurance and we offer a variety of plans to help protect your travel plans.
