Embark on a transformative journey through Turkey and Greece with master teacher, Dann Hone.
This tour will trace the footsteps of early Christianity and Western civilization’s profound legacy. Starting in Istanbul, the ancient crossroads of East and West, you’ll experience the city’s rich heritage, from its Byzantine architecture to its bustling bazaars. From there, venture into the heart of Asia Minor, where early Christian communities flourished, setting the stage for a journey that interweaves spiritual heritage with ancient cultural marvels.
Travel through cities that bear the echoes of biblical history, visiting the ancient site of Smyrna (modern-day Izmir) and the remnants of Pergamum, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Stand in Philadelphia and Laodicea, where early Christians once gathered, and see the white terraces of Pamukkale, a natural wonder that has drawn travelers since antiquity. Each site tells a unique story of faith, resilience, and cultural exchange, allowing you to experience the landscape and legacy that shaped early Christian communities.
Conclude this journey in Greece, the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of philosophical thought and democratic ideals. Wander through Athens, where the apostle Paul preached at the Areopagus, and explore the ancient city of Corinth, a vibrant center of early Christian teachings. This tour combines faith, history, and culture in an unforgettable exploration of the ancient world, connecting the past’s significance with today’s reflections.
