We then head north to the small coastal town of Paracas. If you’re looking for nature, our visit, by boat, to the Ballestas Islands, is a paradise of marine biodiversity. The tour continues the route to Cusco, to tour the mysterious ruins of the Incas, set high in the Andes Mountains, and discover the citadel that centuries later would become one of the new Seven Wonders of the World: MACHU PICCHU.

Home Cities - Lima and Ica, Peru
We will depart today from our home cities to Lima, Peru. After an overnight flight we arrive in the morning. Upon arrival we journey south within the Atacama Desert, “the driest desert in the world.” We will arrive to the region of Ica and check in to the beautiful Las Dunas Resort. After some rest, relaxation, and lunch, we will go to Huacachina ride on and sandboard down the massive and breathtaking desert dunes. Overnight at Las Dunas Resort.

Day 3: Thursday, December 28, 2023
Paracas to Lima
Early in the morning, when the sea is calm and without big waves in the ocean, embark on speedy motorboats to go to the Ballestas Islands, part of the Paracas National Reserve of Marine Life. An ecological system that is protected and regulated to protect the species that have made its habitat in these islands. Along the way, encounter a mysterious drawing best known as El Candelabro (The Candelabra), aligned in the direction of the pampa of Nasca. When we arrive at the islands, explore the great caves, refuge of seals, penguins, and diverse marine birds that our expert guide will teach us how to identify. The curiosity of the seals will make them get close to the motorboats to observe us. Afternoon return to Lima for overnight.

Lima to Cuzco
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Cuzco. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure to acclimatize and explore Cuzco on your own. Tonight we will enjoy a dinner and show at a local restaurant. Overnight in Cuzco.

Day 5: Saturday, December 30, 2023
Machu Picchu
The much-awaited day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Boarding at the Ollantaytambo station and departure in the selected train. Arrival at the Machu Picchu station. Assistance, from our staff to board the bus that will ascend a winding road, with a spectacular view of the Urubamba River which forms a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will greet us with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites and urban areas. Energy exudes from the whole place. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

Day 6: Sunday, December 31, 2023
Cuzco to Lima
Today, we will have the opportunity to attend a local Ward for Sacrament meeting.
Afternoon transfer to the airport to board our flight to Lima.
Arrival in Lima. Meet and greet then transfer to your hotel where you will have access to a room for a few hours. We will have a New Year’s dinner at Rosa Nautica Restaurant. We will then transfer to the airport.
