Spring Ireland Tour Review with Tim Taggart 2024
- by Tim Taggart
Tim Taggart, one of our most experienced directors, recently returned from a tour of Ireland. Their small group was a great way to travel and the members enjoyed getting to know one another on a more intimate level.
The tour included many of the traditional stops including—the picturesque city of Dublin that is filled with history; Blarney Castle with its famous kissing stone; the lovely Kylemore Abby surrounded by gardens and restored buildings; and the impressive Cliffs of Moher.
While Tim has toured the Emerald Isle in the past, this tour offered some unique experiences that he stated: “should be included in every tour of Ireland”.
The first was their stop at the Rathbaun Farm, a true working farm where the tour members were able to see and feed animals and watch the amazing sheepdogs at work. They also enjoyed home-baked scones with Irish cream and preserves.
The tour ended with an evening at the Merry Ploughboys Irish Music Pub for dinner and a traditional Irish Dance show. The group loved this as a great way to wind up their trip and Tim said it was a must for any tour of Ireland.
