Our History
Sending Travelers Around the World Since 1958
Our roots began when Murdock Travel was founded by Franklin Murdock to handle travel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' missionaries.
When the church's headquarters took over their own travel services it left the main Murdock Travel company to now focus the traditional travel needs of their clients. They eventually merged with Morris Travel in 2000 making the company what it is today.
In 2004 upon the closing of the BYU Travel Study program it was acquired by a private company and was re-launched under the name of LDS Travel Study. This company was purchased in 2008 by Morris Murdock to complete the Faith Based Wholesale program currently in operation.
All of our in-depth programs will teach cultural, political, geographical, geological, and other areas of learning specific to the sites visited. The tours are targeted to people who want a learning and spiritual element to their recreational travel. While our programs are fun and enjoyable, the participants carry away much more at the end of the tour.
The combination of our longevity, knowledge and expertise allows us to offer a wide variety of tours and cruises to destinations throughout the world.
Traveling on a Morris Murdock or LDS Travel Study Tour means that you can sit back and relax. Our travel service team will cheerfully and professionally handle all arrangements associated with confirming your trip, including making airline and hotel reservations. Your booking experience will be pleasant from day one.
