Your day begins with a visit to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle, perched high in the Bavarian Alps. Built by King Ludwig II in the 19th century, this iconic castle—said to have inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle—was designed as a fantastical retreat dedicated to the operas of Richard Wagner. With its dramatic turrets, hidden passages, and breathtaking mountain views, it’s one of the most photographed landmarks in the world.
Next, travel to the equally stunning Linderhof Palace, King Ludwig's most lavish and fully completed residence. Surrounded by manicured gardens, ornate fountains, and alpine scenery, Linderhof reflects the king’s obsession with grandeur and solitude. Inside, you'll find rooms inspired by Versailles, including a Hall of Mirrors and a dining table that mysteriously disappears below stairs for private meals.
A professional local guide will accompany you throughout the day, sharing the fascinating history, legends, and eccentricities of Bavaria’s “Mad King” and the legacy of these architectural masterpieces. It’s a day filled with romance, imagination, and unforgettable Alpine beauty.
