Join Morris Murdock Escorted Tours and Craig and Jana Manscill on a seasonal tour of the restoration sites including Massachusetts, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois.
Step into the sacred story of the Restoration on this unforgettable journey through Church history. Immerse yourself in the pages of the Doctrine and Covenants as we visit sites where prophets walked, revelations were received, and miracles unfolded. Beginning in Boston and Topsfield, we’ll explore the ancestral roots of Joseph Smith before traveling to the birthplace of the Restoration in Palmyra, New York. Stand in the Sacred Grove, where Joseph Smith's humble prayer opened the heavens, and visit the Hill Cumorah and the Grandin Print Shop, where the Book of Mormon came forth. We’ll also reflect on the early days of the priesthood along the Susquehanna River and experience the unity of the Church's organization in Fayette.
Our journey continues with breathtaking stops at Niagara Falls and a serene barge float through the historic Lockport Locks, mirroring the waterways that once carried the Saints westward. In Kirtland, Ohio, you’ll step into the School of the Prophets, visit the Kirtland Temple—the first temple of this dispensation—and feel the spiritual significance of this remarkable era. Traveling further west, we’ll visit the heart of Zion in Independence, Missouri, reflect on the Saints' sacrifices in Liberty Jail, and stand on sacred ground in Nauvoo, where the faith, sacrifice, and devotion of early Church members shine brightly.
The tour culminates with a sobering and inspiring visit to Carthage Jail, where the Prophet Joseph Smith sealed his testimony with his blood, before concluding in St. Louis. Along the way, we will study the Doctrine and Covenants, gaining deeper insights into the revelations given during this pivotal period. With opportunities for reflection, learning, and worship, this immersive journey will strengthen your testimony and bring to life the remarkable events that laid the foundation for the Restoration of the gospel.
