    1

    Monday, May 31, 2027: Home City - Rochester, NY Airport - Palmyra

    We depart from our home cities this morning and travel to Palmyra, NY. Upon arrival, we’ll gather for dinner and to get acquainted as we look forward to the trip ahead.

    Tuesday, June 1, 2027: Palmyra - Fayette

    This morning, we visit the Sacred Grove and reflect on the remarkable events that took place there. We then tour the restored Joseph Smith Sr. family farm and home, including the log cabin where Moroni first appeared to the young Joseph Smith. Next, we visit the E. B. Grandin Building, where the Book of Mormon was first printed, followed by a stop at the gravesite of Alvin Smith, Joseph’s eldest brother. After lunch, we explore the Hill Cumorah and its Visitor Center before traveling to Fayette, NY, to visit the Peter Whitmer Farm, where The Church was organized on April 6, 1830.

    Wednesday, June 2, 2027: Susquehanna, PA - Palmyra

    Today, we travel to Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, to visit the Priesthood Restoration Site. During our visit, we will explore the Visitor Center and meetinghouse, tour the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, and visit the wooded area where John the Baptist restored the Aaronic Priesthood and view the inspiring statuary that commemorates these sacred events. We will also see the baptismal site along the Susquehanna River. Following our visit, we return to our hotel for the evening.

    Thursday, June 3, 2027: Niagara Falls - Kirtland

    This morning, we head to Niagara Falls, America’s oldest state park. We’ll board the Maid of the Mist boat, which takes us close to the American Falls before entering the Horseshoe Basin at the base of the Canadian side—a truly unforgettable experience! Afterward, we continue our journey to Kirtland, Ohio, where our next set of historic sites awaits.

    Friday, June 4, 2027: Kirtland

    Today, we visit the Kirtland Temple, where The Lord Himself appeared, along with Moses, Elias, Elijah, and numerous other angels. Next, we tour the newly restored Joseph Smith Home. After lunch at the Temple Quarry, we spend the afternoon exploring the Morley Farm and historic Kirtland Village, including the Church’s Visitor Center, the Whitney Home and Store, Ashery, and Sawmill.

    Saturday, June 5, 2027: Hiram - Cleveland Airport - Home

    This morning we travel to Hiram, Ohio, to visit the John Johnson Farm. It was here that Joseph Smith completed the translation of the Bible, received the vision of the three degrees of glory, and experienced opposition from a local mob.

    Following our visit, we transfer to Cleveland Airport for our late afternoon flight home, concluding our journey with a deeper appreciation for the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith, the early Saints, and the Restoration of the Church.

About Anthony Sweat

Anthony Sweat is a Latter-day Saint religion professor. He is the author of several books such as The Holy Invitation and The Holy Covenants, Repicturing the Restoration, and Seekers Wanted. He received his PhD in education from Utah State University and is a regular speaker at various church conferences. He and his lovely wife Cindy are the parents of seven children.

If enrollment falls under that number an additional supplement may be requested or the tour may be canceled. Any tour canceled for low enrollment will receive a FULL REFUND of paid deposits.

Cancellations within seven calendar days of booking (if not past the final payment date) will receive a full refund, excluding airfares, which follow the airline’s policy. Cancellations after the seven-day grace period incur a 50% penalty on the deposit until the final payment date, and cancellations after the final payment date are non-refundable, including for unused portions of the tour.
