About Chad Hawkins

Chad Hawkins is truly a trifecta of a tour host — talented, passionate, and inspiring. While many know him first for his remarkable career as a temple artist, that’s only the beginning of his story.

Chad began creating temple artwork in 1989 at the age of seventeen to help fund his mission in Frankfurt, Germany, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Upon returning home, he continued developing his art while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Weber State University. His portfolio has since grown to include special commissions for temples, church buildings, government facilities, and private business & personal collections, along with several published books that share the stories behind his art. As Chad often says, “There’s nothing I’d rather paint than these modern-day monuments to sacrifice, hard work, and faith.”

Beyond the studio, Chad is an avid outdoorsman and endurance athlete. He has completed numerous marathons and mountain challenges across the globe and is now sponsored to pursue these epic adventures.  It’s a true testament to his determination and love of life.

Equally important is Chad’s love for people and the joy he finds in travel. Whether he’s describing a masterpiece in Florence’s Uffizi Gallery or witnessing the majestic sites and mountain in Iceland, he brings the same contagious enthusiasm and sense of wonder. We’re honored to have Chad leading tours with us and invite you to experience the world through his eyes where art, faith, and adventure come beautifully together.
