Ladies and gentlemen, adventurers and seekers of breathtaking beauty, we invite you to join us on an unforgettable tour of Switzerland, a land that encapsulates nature's grandeur, cultural diversity, and architectural marvels, hosted by Kay Godfrey. Prepare to be swept away as we embark on a captivating expedition through some of Switzerland's most iconic destinations.

Before you read this detailed description of this beautiful tour, please know that it is a TRAIN TOUR. After day 1, we will travel by train. Every day, you will walk a significant amount to fully enjoy all we have planned. This is a fun and ideal way to truly experience all that Switzerland has to offer.

Our adventure begins in the bustling metropolis of Zurich, a city that seamlessly blends modernity with history. As we stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, we'll be captivated by medieval charm against contemporary art and luxury boutiques along Bahnhofstrasse, one of the world's most exclusive shopping avenues. We’ll take in in all the panoramic views of the city and the majestic Alps beyond. We’ll venture to the border of Germany and experience the Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall. You’ll be awe-struck as you witness the sheer power of nature, feeling the mist on your face as the pristine waters cascade over the rocks. We'll have the opportunity to walk along the trails, capturing postcard-worthy photos from various vantage points.

Next, our expedition takes us to the picturesque town of Lucerne, nestled amidst snow-capped peaks and tranquil lakes. We’ll see the beauty and charm of medieval architecture, with the iconic Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge) and Water Tower reflecting in the shimmering waters of Lake Lucerne. From here, prepare to touch the sky as we ascend to the world-renowned Jungfraujoch, the "Top of Europe." A cogwheel train journey through alpine meadows and tunnels will lead us to this icy wonderland. Stand on the observation deck, surrounded by the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, and breathe in the crisp, pure air of the high Alps.

We continue to the legendary village of Zermatt, overlooked by the iconic pyramid-shaped Matterhorn. As we wander through car-free streets, a sense of serenity envelops us. We will visit the crown jewel of the Alps, the Matterhorn! This mountain is best appreciated when you take the Matterhorn Express gondola up to Furi and the cableway all the way to the top and explore Glacier Palace. This is a breathtaking adventure like none other!

A for-sure highlight of this tour is the day we'll spend aboard the Glacier Express, often called the "World's Slowest Express Train." As we traverse through breathtaking landscapes, you'll marvel at the dramatic mountain passes, bridges, lush valleys, and charming villages that unfold outside your window as we travel to the world-renowned resort town of St. Moritz, a playground for the elite and a haven of sophistication. Nestled amidst the towering peaks of the Engadin Valley, St. Moritz exudes an air of exclusivity that has attracted royalty, celebrities, and discerning travelers for generations. This is our jumping-off point to see the Roseg Valley that welcomes us with its lush meadows, glistening streams, and the majestic Roseg Glacier towering in the distance. We'll embark on a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride to the base of the glacier, where we'll feel a sense of calm and wonder that only nature can provide.

This journey through Switzerland promises to be a sensory feast, a visual spectacle, and an exploration of the heart that the memories you'll collect and the beauty you'll witness will forever remain a part of you.
