We invite you to join us on this adventure through the Emerald Isle next summer!  We will see that even the oldest traditions continue to thrive in this amazing country.  This tour will discover the country’s highlights, starting in historic Dublin and continuing on out to see the historic ruins of Cashel and then to see the Blarney Castle and even kiss the Blarney stone--if you dare!  After exploring the breathtaking Ring of Kerry, we visit the mesmerizing Cliffs of Moher, and the charming coastal city of Galway.  You may find it hard to say goodbye to Ireland after the experience we have planned for you.

USA to Dublin

We will depart the US on an overnight flight and arrive at the Dublin airport. There we'll be met by our local guide and coach and transferred to the hotel, with a panoramic tour of the capital en route. We will then have some free time to relax before our welcome dinner tonight.

Day 3 - Wednesday, April 6, 2022

Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle, Tralee 

Today we drive out of Dublin and start to see the incredible green landscape of Ireland.  We will visit the historic Rock Of Cashel, a spectacular group of Medieval buildings set on an outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale including the 12th century round tower, High Cross and Romanesque Chapel, 13th century Gothic cathedral, 15th century Castle and the restored Hall of the Vicars Choral. We continue onto Blarney Village this afternoon and historic Blarney Castle. Explore the beautiful gardens and you will have time to kiss the famous stone, which is said to bestow the gift of eternal eloquence on those lucky enough to do so. There is also time for a little shopping before we finish driving across the island to Tralee on the west coast.

Day 4 - Thursday, April 7, 2022

The Ring of Kerry, Killarney National Park, Muckross House and Gardens,.

The beauty of this green land will be apparent today as we visit Muckross House and Gardens which represents the focal point and nucleus of Killarney National Park. This is Ireland's oldest National Park and it includes the world famous Lakes of Killarney, as well as the mountains and woodlands that surround them. This nineteenth century Victorian mansion is set against the stunning beauty of Killarney National Park. The house stands close to the shores of Muckross Lake, one of Killarney's three lakes, famed worldwide for their splendor and beauty. Today the principal rooms of Muckross House are furnished in period style and portray the elegant lifestyle of the nineteenth century landowning class. In the basement, one can imagine the busy bustle of the servants as they went about their daily chores.

Day 5 - Friday, April 8, 2022

Cliffs of Moher.

This morning we will ferry across the River Shannon from Tarbet to Killimer. We will visit the Cliffs of Moher, including the Visitor Center. The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's most spectacular sights. The Cliffs are over 700 feet high at the highest point and range for 4 miles over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.

Day 6 - Saturday, April 9, 2022

The Burren National Park and Kylemore Abbey .

The Burren National Park is a huge area of limestone lakes and cliffs with a lunar-like landscape of rock and cliffs. It has walking trails, woodland, otters, mink and lizards. We will also visit Kylemore Abbey and Garden. Kylemore Abbey was built in tandem with Kylemore Castle in the late 17th Century by wealthy business man Mitchell Henry and his wife. You will visit the restored rooms of the Abbey and learn about its history and tales of tragedy and romance. Enjoy the peaceful and elegant atmosphere of the beautiful Gothic Church and explore the six acre Victorian Walled Garden with its magnificent restored buildings.

Day 7 - Sunday, April 10, 2022

Clonmacnoise Abbey, Dublin.

Today we travel from Galway east towards Dublin. We will visit Clonmacnoise Abbey, an Early Christian site founded by St. Ciarán in the mid-6th century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. The site includes the ruins of a cathedral, seven churches (10th -13th century), two round towers, three high crosses and the largest collection of Early Christian grave slabs in Western Europe. The original high crosses and a selection of grave slabs are on display in the visitor center. The long and varied history of Clonmacnoise is recounted in an audiovisual presentation shown in the visitor center. There are also exhibitions that deal with the flora, fauna and landscape of the region. Return to Dublin.

Day 8 - Monday, April 11, 2022


Free day at leisure in Dublin. Dublin is one of the most walkable cities in Europe. Wonderful sites await you such as St. Patricks Cathedral, Trinity College and the Book of Kells, the beautiful St Stephens Green, the Chester Beatty Library (widely known as one of the most notable museums in Europe), the Kilmainham Jail (one of the most unique looks into the darker side of Irish history), the National Gallery of Ireland, the Dublin Castle, and amazing shopping.  Tonight as we prepare to say goodbye to Ireland, our last evening will be filled with Irish dance and lore!
