Carlos is a native of Argentina, where he taught at the Military Academy and the University of Patagonia. He is an expert in Latin American history. He has lectured to special interest groups while traveling and showing the wonders of South America to thousands of travelers.He is one of the foremost specialists in travel to Latin America. He was the recipient of several awards by Travel and Leisure Magazine and the South American Travel Association.
John has been in the travel industry for over 17 years. You may recognize him as “Pluto” from Columbus Travel’s weekly Travel Show. He has a great love for Disney, both the parks and Disney cruises, and is an expert at both. He is also an expert on other cruise companies and is a Commodore with Princess and has a PHD with Norwegian Cruise Line. The majestic statue of Christ the Redeemer is the most iconic and immediately recognized attraction. A short train ride till take you to the foot of the Christ the Redeemer statues. The view from the top is spectacular! Later, we will ride a cable car to the top of the Sugar Loaf Mountain from where you will enjoy a 360-degree view of Rio and its surrounding areas. Lunch at famous “churrascaria” (steak house).

Buzios is our first stop in our voyage to Buenos Aires. The small village feature some of the best beaches in all of Brazil. Buzios has a fascinating history. Originally it was settled by pirates and slave traders, but in 1964 it began to transition into a famous resort stop, after a visit by French actress Brigitte Bardot. Today it is a thriving community.

Ilha Grande
Today our ship arrives at Ilha Grande (Big Island). The island is noted for its scenic beautiful and unspoiled tropical beaches, lined up by luxuriant vegetation. The stop is from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM. It will be a relaxing day in the sun, while at home our friends will be under cold, cold weather.

At 7:00 AM we dock in Santos, the city port near Sao Paulo. The city dates back to the 1500s. The downtown area maintains its colonial atmosphere. It could be worth a short visit, or you can stay on board and enjoy the ship’s pool.

Punta del Este, Uruguay
We arrive in Punta del Este, the resort of the rich and famous, made famous by the introduction new apparels designed by the best couture in the world. Just like in Paris, but with a South American accent. Disembarkation is by tender. The port offers a quaint view of the beaches and the small village by the port. It is a good time to mingle with the locals, visit the local market and have the best ice-cream of Uruguay.

Buenos Aires, Argentina
Very early in the morning we arrive in Buenos Aires, the Paris of South America. Our expert bilingual guide will introduce us to the most cosmopolitan city of South America. Buenos Aires is also called the cradle of the Tango. The tour will take us through the highlights of the capital city of Argentina. Afterwards, check in at a selected hotel. Evening Dinner and Tango show! Upgraded hotel in the heart of the city, with access to iconic Florida Street.

Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls
A short flight will take us to Iguazu Falls, one of the wonders of the natural world. The arrival is at the Argentine airport, but we will cross the international bridge to Brazil and sightsee the falls at leisure. We end the day by sailing on a large zodiac through the rapids of the Iguazu River. This will be one of the most exhilarating moments of the tour.
