While there is not a lot of strenuous "hiking" on this tour, there is some "climbing" of tall steps and walking on uneven surfaces that may cause concern to some.

Join our experienced Tour Host Carlos Fida. He is a native of Argentina, where he held teaching positions at the University of Patagonia and at the Military Academy.  He has lectured for university groups on the rich history of pre-Colombian and modern Latin American history.  He has devoted 39 years of his life as a highly qualified specialist in Latin American travel.

This is a unique tour. There is nothing like it offered in the State of Utah.  In addition to visits to expected sites, such as Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we will immerse ourselves in the world of Inca Empire with it legendary traditions, such as the authentic festivity and parade of the Corpus Christi celebration. This celebration held in Cuzco, on the 7th and 8th of June is a true act of faith for the Peruvians. It is the most important and iconic festivity of the year. We will be able to see the procession, with young and old dressed in colorful costumes as they walk behind the multicolored statue of the saints. Music and dances are being performed in the main square. The 17th-century old cathedral, the Jesuit church of La Compania de Jesus, and the colonial arcades serve as a perfect frame for the celebration. You will feel transported to an imaginable world. We visit historic and cultural sites; Inca temples and native markets that few outsiders see.

No journey to the empire of the Incas would be complete without a visit to Cuzco and Machu Picchu.  Cuzco, perched high in the Andes Mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage site, was once the capital of the Inca Empire.  Cuzco still retains its indigenous and colonial heritage and architecture. Machu Picchu has been declared by UNESCO as one of the wonders of the world. New restrictions made by UNESCO and the government of Peru makes it now more restricted in visiting the citadel. The extra night in Machu Picchu, allows our group to visit the best highlights of the Lost Citadel of the Incas by entering twice to this magical wonder of the world. We have also added extra days in Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, to make this tour more comfortable and relaxed for our travelers.

This is no ordinary tour.  This is an adventure for travelers who want to see, feel, and experience the Inca Culture, its people, and its heritage. While staying at 5 star hotels.  You will journey in what can only be described as a daily National Geographic-type experience, with expert guides and some meals included. Join Carlos in this adventure of a lifetime.

This tour is for sure a BUCKET LIST experience!  Come make new friends while living your adventurer side dream.
