Day 1:

Home Cities - Lima, Peru

Upon arrival into Peru you will transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Day 2:

Lima - Cusco, Peru

After your flight to Cusco, you will enjoy a city tour in the ancient capital city of the Incan Empire! It includes the main square, cathedral and Koricancha, a famous temple dedicated to the sun. Overnight in Cusco. (B)

Day 3:

Machu Picchu, Peru

Today you will have a guided visit to Machu Picchu,”Lost city of the Incas.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site was built in the classical Incan style, with polished dry-stone walls fitted with masterful precision. Its primary buildings are the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Sun and the Room with Three Windows. Overnight in Cusco. (B/L)

Day 4:

Cusco-Lima- Quito, Ecuador

Today you will fly Cusco to Lima and then into Quito, Ecuador. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.(B)

Day 5:

Quito

After breakfast enjoy a Colonial city tour with its bustling streets and squares in the largest historical old town in the Americas. This city is a multi-ethnic, artistic and cultural heritage destination. Overnight: Quito. (B)

Day 6:

Quito - Peguche - Cotacachi - Karanki

Today you will visit the village of Petuche with its traditional looms and Andean instruments. Next, you will go to Magdalena, once home to Atahulpa, the last of the Incan emperors. The Karanki community inhabit a paradise lost in time among llamas, condors, peaceful lagoons and the slopes of Imbabura Volcano. This is a perfect area to admire their embroidery work, harvesting and shepherding. You will overnight in this mountain town. (B/D)

Day 7:

Magdalena Karanki - Salinas

After breakfast you will visit the Otavalo market where the handicraft fairs can be found, then drive to Ibarra to take the train that crosses mysterious tunnels through the mountains, astonishing bridges spanning wide gullies and a unique biodiversity. You will arrive in the Afro-Ecuadorian community of Salinas whose inhabitants are well-known for their agricultural activity. You will return to Quito and overnight. (B/L)

Day 8:

Galapagos Cruise on M/Y Coral I & II or M/V Galapagos Legend

This morning you will take a flight to the Galapagos. You will board your all-inclusive 3-night cruise. Only a special few have he chance to travel to this paradise on Earth, sailing on a small charming ship with nautical wood and brass interior with wide outer decks and sea view cabins, Jacuzzi or pool and much more. Overnight on ship. (B/L/D)

Day 9:

Galapagos Islands

While on your 3-night cruise multilingual naturalist guides will lead your daily shore excursions twice a day to a place unlike any other, full of wildlife and lectures explaining the geology, history, evolution, flora and fauna of the islands. Today you will see a variety of animals, including the prehistoric iguanas, giant tortoises and many exotic birds. Over-night on the ship. (B/L/D)
