Day 1: Monday, June 3, 2019

Kansas City/Great Wolf Lodge

Depart this morning for Kansas City, MO. Upon arrival we will drive to our resort hotel “The Great Wolf Lodge” to enjoy over a dozen Swim, Splash, and Slide adventures and several other activities included in our stay plus many dry-land attractions such as mini golf.  (Dry land activities available to purchase at a discounted rate.) Overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Day 2: Tuesday, June 4, 2019

Kansas City , Liberty, Independence, Great Wolf Lodge

We will begin our day at the Kansas City Temple for baptisms and/or a adult session. Next, we will drive to Liberty to visit the jail and visitors’ center. It was here during the winter of 1838-39 that the Prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned. During his incarceration, he received Doctrine and Covenants Sections 121-123. Our next stop will be Independence to visit the LDS Visitors’ Center and temple lot-the site where the first temple was commanded to be built in this dispensation. The remainder of our day will be spent at the Great Wolf Lodge. Overnight at the Great Wolf Lodge.

Day 3: Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Richmond, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, Nauvoo

Following breakfast, we will drive along the beautiful Missouri River to Richmond to see the Three Witnesses Monument. We will then continue to Far West to see the temple site and have a picnic lunch. Our next stop is Adam-ondi-Ahman. Following dinner we will drive to Nauvoo and overnight at the Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites.

Day 4: Thursday, June 6, 2019

Nauvoo

Today we will begin our tour of old Nauvoo. Among our stops will be the Joseph Smith Homestead, Mansion House, the Red Brick Store, and the gravesites of Joseph, Emma, and Hyrum Smith. Next we will visit the Blacksmith Shop and Seventies Hall. Following lunch we will have free time to visit historic Nauvoo including: the Riser Tin Shop, Scovil Bakery, Browning Gun Shop, Times and Seasons Print Shop, John Taylor Home, Brigham Young home and the Brickyard to name a few. Next, we will visit the LDS Visitors’ Center and walk through the Monument to Women Memorial Garden dedicated to women in 1978. Tonight we will enjoy the musical production “Sunset on the Mississippi which is performed by missionaries..” Overnight at the Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites.

Day 5: Friday, June 7, 2019

Nauvoo 

We will begin our day with a morning temple session and/or baptisms at the Nauvoo Temple. This afternoon we will visit the pioneer cemetery and then depart for Carthage. Here we will tour the jail where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. Following dinner, we will walk the Trail of Hope and read excerpts from diaries of the Saints who joined the Mormon exodus from Nauvoo in 1846. Overnight at the Nauvoo Family Inn & Suites.

Day 6: Saturday, June 8, 2018

Nauvoo - Hannibal - Home

After we say our farewell to Nauvoo, we continue on to Mark Twain’s Hannibal on the Mississippi River where we will take a luncheon cruise on a riverboat. Following lunch we will drive to St. Louis for our early evening flight home.
