Day 1: Sat, Sept. 9

Saturday - Salt Lake City/ Kansas City/Independence/Liberty This morning we will depart to Kansas City.

We will have a lunch stop before we travel over to the Independence side of town and start our trip into this history of our faith. Here we will explore Independence including the LDS Visitor's Center with its interactive exhibits that will help bring the area to life. We will then visit the site that has been dedicated to a important future Temple. We will also then visit the Community of Christ (RLDS) Auditorium and temple. After a great Kansas City BBQ dinner we will check into our hotel for the night. (D)

Day 2: Sun, Sept. 10

Sunday - Liberty/ Far West/ Adam-ondi-Ahman/Nauvoo

Today we will get to spend our Sabbath at some very sacred sites. Our touring today will begin as we drive to Liberty to visit the Jail and Visitors' Center. It was here during the winter of 1838 that the Prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned for four and one half months and received the 121st and 122nd sections of the Doctrine and Covenants.

As we continue on our next stop is the Far West Temple Site to see the corner stones that were placed and the plaques that explain the importance of this site. We will stop in Hamilton to pickup box lunches and then on to Adam-ondi-Ahman, where many significant events have taken place and where important future events will occur.

After our stop we will continue on to Hannibal, Missouri, where Mark Twain shared his love for this riverboat town and world. We will board the Mississippi Queen river boat to enjoy a dinner cruise on the Mississippi.. After a short drive up river we arrive in Nauvoo!! (B,L,D)

Day 3: Mon, Sept. 11

Nauvoo “The City Beautiful”

We will have our full buffet breakfast at the hotel this morning before we begin our adventure into Nauvoo-The City Beautiful. We will start at the LDS Visitors Center where we can enjoy the tribute Gardens with its many statues honoring women. We will view the new film Joseph Smith “Prophet of the Restoration” to get us ready to see the city our pioneer ancestors built from a swamp.

After a lunch stop we will continue our tour at the Joseph Smith homestead, the Mansion House, the Red Brick Store, the gravesite of Joseph, Emma, Hyrum and other family members that are buried there. We will have time to walk the “Trail of Hope” and read exerpts from personal diaries of the Saints. Your understanding will increase you read about the hard ships and struggles they went through. Tonight the balance of evening is at your leisure, we will have dinner at the hotel. This is a great time to take a walk down to the temple for some night photos. (B,D)

Day 4: Tues, Sept. 12

Nauvoo “The City Beautiful”

Our day begins with a morning Temple Session for those who would like to attend. After the temple we will go back to the hotel to change our clothes and give you time to have lunch and shop. We will then meet and drive to the old pioneer cemetery where you can see the names and headstones of those who made it to Nauvoo, but not on with the Saints into the Utah Valley.

From here we will return to restored buildings of Old Nauvoo and you will have time to wander around and visit the different homes and building that have been restored. Places to make sure not to miss are Time and Seasons Office, the Browning Gun and Blacksmith Shop to only name a few and be sure to see the homes of Brigham Young, Wilford Woodruff and the Heber C. Kimball!! Dinner tonight is at the famous Hotel Nauvoo, one of the best meals you will have on tour!

Following dinner we will enjoy a musical production called ‘Rendezvous' at the Cultural Hall before returning to the hotel for the evening. (B,D)

Day 5: Wed, Sept. 13

Nauvoo/Carthage/Branson/Million Dollar Quartet

We bid farewell to Nauvoo as we travel the old road to Carthage, where we will view the production of the ‘Life of The Prophet Joseph Smith,' that is shown exclusively at the Visitor's Center. At the conclusion of the production, we will tour the jail itself where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. You will never forget the feeling of love and sacrifice you feel as you enter the bedroom that door still shows the actual bullet holes from the attack that ended Joseph and Hyrum's lives.

Lunch will be en route and then on to Branson, Mo, America's #1 Entertainment destination in the U.S.A. Dinner tonight will be at the famed Lamberts restaurant, "home of the throwed rolls", REALLY!

To start off our Branson entertainment we are off to see the Million Dollar Quartet. The MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is an all-new production, the Tony Award winning Broadway musical, inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips, the Father of Rock n Roll brought together icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for one unforgettable night. On December 4, 1956, a twist of fate brought together the four, future rock and roll legends. The place was Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records who discovered them all. The Bretts, George Dyer & SIX

This morning get ready for the Bretts Show at Dick Clarks American Bandstand Theater. This is not your average family variety show. With a dizzying array of awards and accomplishments over their 16-year Branson career, this dynamic family produces a power-packed, two-hour entertainment experience that combines the best in music, lighting, video, dance, comedy and genuine artistry. The Bretts Show mixes timeless classics, current chart-topping hits and award-winning original music, all presented with The Bretts signature polish and professionalism.

After a lunch break we are off to see George Dyer. Acclaimed by many as one of the finest tenors in the world, George Dyer adds a polished showmanship and audience connection that will make you feel as if you were on Broadway, in Las Vegas, or at the Met! Accompanied by an award winning 5 piece band, George sings a variety of musical genres including power ballads, Broadway hits, love songs, classic standards, favorite oldies, gospel, and more.

Dinner tonight will be a good time at Florentinas Ristorante and then we are off to see the group SIX. Dubbed “An Orchestra of Human Voices”, SIX combines the musical showmanship and boundless energy of six remarkable brothers (Barry, Kevin, Lynn, Jak, Owen and Curtis). Their intense high-octane energy, electrifying stage presence, and powerhouse vocals combine to create a truly amazing entertainment experience. (B,D)

Day 7: Fri, Sept. 15

City Tour, Moses & the Hugh Brothers IT

This morning we will spend seeing some of the spectacular sights this hidden city in the Ozarks has to offer. We will have a lunch/shopping stop before we have our next show.

After a lunch break we will be totally entertained by the production of Moses at the Sight & Sound Theatre. The parting of the Red Sea ... the Burning Bush ... the Plagues ... the Ten Commandments ... finally ... the greatest Biblical epic of the Old Testament comes to life on the Sight & Sound stage in Branson, MO - Moses! Journey back through time and relive the golden splendor and pride of ancient Egypt, the poverty and oppression of the Hebrew slaves and the humble, broken man that God raised up to become their deliverer. Not only will you be completely immersed in the spectacular, epic events of the story, but you will experience the humanity of Moses and the children of Israel as they struggle for faith, freedom and belonging. This incredible adventure is like none other for this is when God breaks into history and reveals who He is and that he has come to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free!

Dinner tonight is at the Hughes Brothers Theatre. After dinner you will enjoy the IT show by the Hughes Brothers.
