The highlight of the trip will be attending the Hill Cumorah Pageant. Other highlights include the New Priesthood Restoration site, the Peter Whitmer Farm, Sacred Grove, Palmyra Temple, Niagara Falls, Kirtland Temple, Morley Farm, Whitney Store and the John Johnson Farm to name a few.

Day 1: Monday, July 15, 2019

Home Cities – Rochester, NY Aiport to Palmyra

Depart this morning for Palmyra, NY. We get acquainted with our group at dinner as we look forward to the trip ahead.

Day 2: Tuesday, July 16th, 2019

Palmyra - Fayette - Hill Cumorah Pageant

Early this morning we visit the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here. Next, we visit the restored home and farm of Joseph Smith Sr., including the restored log cabin where the family lived at the time of the first vision and angel Moroni’s visit to the prophet. Next, we stop at the E.B. Grandin Building where the Book of Mormon was printed. After lunch, we visit the grave site of Alvin Smith, Joseph’s eldest brother. We continue to Fayette, NY to visit the Peter Whitmer Farm where the Church was organized on April 6, 1830. Tonight, we visit Hill Cumorah and witness the highlight of our tour, “The Hill Cumorah Pageant.”

Day 3: Wednesday, July 17th, 2019

Harmony, PA- Palmyra

Today we visit the Priesthood Restoration site in Susquehanna County, PA. We tour the new visitor’s center and meetinghouse, the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, the woods where John the Baptist restored the priesthood, the baptismal site at the Susquehanna River, and the new statuary.

Day 4: Thursday, July 18th, 2019

Mendon, NY - Niagara Falls -Kirtland

This morning we drive to Mendon, NY to see the Tomlinson Inn where Samuel Smith gave a copy of the Book of Mormon to Phineas Young, Brigham Young’s older brother. We continue our journey to Niagara Falls, the oldest state park in the USA. We board the Maid of the Mist boat which passes directly in front of the falls and enters Horseshoe Basin. This is a fun activity not to be missed! After free time for lunch and shopping, we travel to Kirtland, OH.

Day 5: Friday, July 19th, 2019


Today we visit the Kirtland Temple. Relative to the meager resources of the Saints at the time, the Kirtland Temple is probably the most costly temple ever constructed by the church. Next, we see the Temple Quarry and have a picnic lunch. We spend the afternoon visiting the Morley Farm, and the historic Kirtland village including the LDS Visitor’ s Center, the Whitney Home and Store, the Johnson Inn, the Ashery, and the Sawmill.

Day 6: Saturday, July 20th, 2019

Kirtland - Hiram - Cleveland Airport

We depart this morning for Hiram, OH to visit the John Johnson Farm. It was at the Johnson farm that Joseph Smith received the vision of the three degrees of glory. We conclude our tour with a late afternoon flight home and a better appreciation for the life of the Prophet Joseph and the early saints.
