Day 1: Monday, October 7, 2024
Departure City - Kansas City - Independence
Depart this morning for Kansas City, MO. Upon arrival, we drive to Independence to visit the LDS Visitor's Center and temple lot--the site dedicated by the Prophet Joseph Smith where the first temple was to be built in this dispensation.

Day 2: Tuesday, October 8, 2024
Richmond - Liberty
This morning we drive along the beautiful banks of the Missouri River to Richmond to see the three witness’s monument, visit the Richmond City Cemetery to the grave site of David Whitmer, and see the site of the infamous Richmond Jail. Following lunch, we travel to Liberty Jail and Visitor’s Center; it was here during the winter of 1838-39 that the Prophet Joseph Smith was imprisoned. Next is the Michael Arthur Farm (related to the expulsion of the saints from Jackson County, the official discharge of Zion’s Camp, and location of the Eight Witnesses Monument.)

Day 3: Wednesday, October 9, 2024
Far West - Haun’s Mill - Adam-Ondi-Ahman - Nauvoo
Following breakfast, we drive to Far West to see the temple site. Cornerstones for a temple were laid here in July 1838. Although the Saints were not able to complete the temple, the cornerstones and property remain as a testament of their faith and devotion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Next, we visit the recently upgraded site of Haun’s Mill in Caldwell Country, Missouri. This is the site of one of the great tragedies in early Latter-day Saint history. Following lunch we visit Adam-ondi-Ahman. Spring Hill was named "Adam-ondi-Ahman" by the Prophet Joseph Smith, as indicated by the Lord in revelation (see D&C 116). We then continue our drive to Nauvoo.

Day 4: Thursday, October 10, 2024
Nauvoo
Today we begin our tour of old Nauvoo with the Joseph Smith Homestead, Mansion House, gravesites of Joseph, Emma, and Hyrum, and the Red Brick Store. This afternoon we have free time to visit many of the historic sites of Nauvoo including the Riser Tin Shop, Scovil Bakery, Browning Gun Shop, Times and Seasons Print Shop, John Taylor Home, Brigham Young home, and the Family Living Center to name a few. This evening we see the production "Sunset on the Mississippi."

Day 5: Friday, October 11, 2024
Nauvoo
We begin our day with a session at the Nauvoo Temple. (The temple session is optional and subject to the temple schedule.) Next, we drive-by the following sites: Drusilla Hendricks home, the teaching Groves in Nauvoo, the temple quarry, Sarah Granger Kimball home, and the stone bridge before we enjoy more free time for an Ox Wagon Ride and visiting more of the historic homes on “the Flats”. Following dinner, we will meet at the Seventies Hall to walk together on the Trail of Hope reading excerpts from diaries of the saints and discuss the Pioneer Exodus to the west at the river.

Day 6: Sunday, October 12, 2024
Carthage - St. Louis - Flights Home
This morning we visit the Old Pioneer Cemetery and then depart for Carthage. Here we tour of the jail where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. Following lunch, we drive to St. Louis for our evening flight home.
